NCSU Architecture T-Shirt Design Contest - Deadline Feb. 24

AGSA would like to invite architecture grads to submit their designs for the first* NCSU Architecture T-Shirt Design Contest. We are looking for fun, bold designs that represent our school to the world.

Deadline: Monday, February 24
1st prize: sketch by Dean Marvin Malecha + fancy aluminum scale + free t-shirt
2nd prize: free t-shirt
Format: Adobe Illustrator file with your design in all white on black t-shirt background
             please use Illustrator template attached to AGSA emails
Eligibility: only architecture graduate students may submit designs, but anyone may purchase a t-shirt

2014 ReSpace Competition: Registration Ends Feb. 20

Joel Lubell, M.Arch Track III first year student at NC State, is also founder of the ReSpace Competition, in which designers imagine small spaces constructed with reuse materials. The winning design is built by Habitat for Humanity of Wake County. Joel worked as Deconstruction Manager for Habitat before founding ReSpace, and he was named Tar Heel of the Week by the News & Observer in 2012.

This spring, 2014 Competition involves the design of a porch  a community gathering space that is central to southern culture. Designers are challenged to balance program, culture, and context while thoughtfully incorporating reuse materials.
